Kalispell is not New York City — and that’s a very good thing! Except perhaps when it comes to pizza.

Walk two blocks in the New York, and you’ll find “Ray’s Pizza,” “The Original Ray’s,” “Lil’ Ray’s,” “Johnnhy Ray’s,” “Ray & Ray’s” — never mind all the other places not named after a guy named Ray.

But the Kalispell area has it’s share of good pizza too, maybe just not on every street corner.

For example, there’s Bullman’s Wood Fired Pizza of Kalispell.

Bullman’s stands up to any New York City corner pizzeria. And the wood smoke and char from their wood oven makes Bullman’s pizza even better. You can choose from fresh mozzarella or four-cheese for your pizza (both are good). Bullman’s has dozens of other fresh toppings as well including Genoa salami, Prosciutto, Canadian Bacon, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and more.

Bullman’s salads are a good side and are just the right portion, fresh, and come with a variety of dressings (the poppy-seed dressing is hard to resist).

Aside from wood-fired pizza, Bullman’s has soft-drinks, root beer, lemonade, iced tea — and complement of good beers as well. Bullman’s also offers “New Beer Specials” such as the “Total Domination IPA” from Ninkasi Brewing in Eugene, OR.

Finding Bullman’s could be a little tricky if you don’t know where it is. Bullman’s Pizza is located on Hutton Ranch Road, in the Hutton Ranch Shopping Plaza just off Highway 97 in Kalispell (near Wal-Mart, Sportsman & Ski Haus, Cold Stone Creamery; Costco and Lowe’s are across the road).

So, don’t worry: if you’re re-locating or moving to the Kalispell area, you may miss your favorite pizza shop — but you’ll have Bullman’s pizza instead. Of course, there are plenty of other pizza shops in the area as well.
